MFA for your device at start up

Cisco Duo is a powerful multi-factor authentication (MFA) solution that provides a valuable layer of security from the moment you start your PC. By requiring users to verify their identity through multiple factors, such as a password and a one-time code from a mobile device, Duo significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised access, even if passwords are compromised.

We are all used to multi-factor authentication on web applications and it is a great step forward in security. However, this technology only comes into play once the device is unlocked. Logging into a PC is often still done with just a username and password, even if the user has also enabled face and fingerprint recognition.

Duo is designed to provide a simple, streamlined login experience for every user and application. It is a cloud-based solution enabling it to integrate easily with your existing technology.

Duo's MFA solution only requires users to carry their smartphone, with the Duo Mobile app installed on it. Duo Mobile is available for both iPhones and Android, as well as wearables like the Apple Watch.

In addition, colleagues can also authenticate using a fingerprint scanner, tokens and passcodes generated by a secondary device.
