Cyber Essentials is a UK government scheme that aims to highlight security issues from internet-based threats. Strident customer, Currock Engineering, has choosen to become accredited with the scheme.
"Data security has now become an issue that must be incorporated into every process that businesses undertake. Becoming Cyber Essentials accredited shows our customers, which includes the UK Government, that we are serious about every aspect of data security and cyber attacks. In addition to the external reassurance, both in terms of customer data held on our system and minimising the risk to the supply chain, it also provides good guidance for internal data security policies," explains David Savage, head of ERP & IT Administration at Currock Engineering.
"Strident is very proactive in IT security and many of the actions required by Cyber Essentials we frequently carry out for our customers," says Chris Joberns, managing director at Strident. "This will enable customers like Currock Engineering to reach the Cyber Essentials standard with ease."
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has focused many businesses on their responsibilites for data security and data control. Cyber Essentials shows that you have considered and protected yourself against data loss through a cyber-attack.
