As a commodity trading company who wanted to upgrade their system and infrastructure before and during their move to a larger office, Delphi Derivatives Limited needed a robust communication platform and functional system which included instant messaging, telephone integration, email and remote devices.
Strident designed a communication platform around a server and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services and integrated into this a fully-configured messaging solution using Microsoft Exchange, Instant Messaging and Blackberry support. This meant installing a server with full hardware redundancy and implementing a Microsoft Small Business Server to fully manage and control the user environment. Strident also had to fully integrate this system with other key providers to Delphi.
As well as developing this new system Strident seamlessly planned and moved the company’s IT setup into the new offices with no downtime, and installed an ADSL and SDSL service with automatic failover for redundancy.
Strident was able to develop a system that can fully cater for Delphi’s existing needs whilst providing room for future growth implementation.
Implementing Microsoft Exchange has enabled Delphi to keep up to date with deals and information whilst out of the office with a full messaging solution which enables them to use multiple methods of communication.
A SharePoint solution was designed to fulfil needs for colleagues to share important information in a clear and simple way.
Strident managed Delphi Derivatives’ office move to achieve zero downtime whilst upgrading systems to a fully-operational server network. Delphi Derivatives new IT infrastructure supports their growth plans and allows flexibility to integrate into electronic trading systems such as Bloomberg and Reuters.
